IN:SITE designed and constructed the space for Global IP Sound (GIPS), a Swedish company. GIPS desired a space that conveyed a strong sense of their Swedish roots and cultural aesthetic yet clearly has an American business sense. With clients from all the large technology companies visiting their space, it was important to show that even though they are small and growing they are organized and detailed. The space needed to be constructed in 3 phases while occupied. Temporary barricades were constructed and moved to Due to the unusual triangular shape of the building (this building is know as the Coppola building) it posed many exiting issues. After studying the space, it was determined that the space could be divided into 2 distinct areas. By planning intervening doorways the space could be exited successfully per current building code. |
