IN:SITE provided architectural design services for the complete renovation of the 4 floor, 60,000 square foot shell space at Levi’s plaza in San Francisco. After a rigorous competition for the architectural design contract for the space, IN:SITE was awarded the contract and started work on the development of the interior for mPower. After various space planning exercises to assess how the space would best be used over time, it was determined that a flexible workstation product would be used which could accommodate any level of employee. From CEO to assistant, all staff used the same desk. By providing ample organizational tools and secure storage, any person could work at any desk.

the building was waterproofed & painted accenting the Art Deco style that had been hidden for decades.

The space has proved to have utmost flexibility. Any department can literally shift overnight with a “box” move. In addition to workstations planned for flexibility, all conference areas were planned to be used by any department. There are no “territories” in this space, any conference room, kitchen, desk or phone jack is available to any employee. This truly “open office” culture provides open communication and fantastic ease for facilities management.
All floors have their own small reception areas with the main reception on the 4th floor taking advantage of the abundant natural light and bay views.

“IN:SITE Design Build takes an honest, straight forward approach in taking on projects. They turned my potentially overwhelming task into an incredible smooth process. Not to mention staying within budget! Truly a refreshing way to run a business.”
